We have returned from a two night stay. The apartment is fabulous. Light, bright and airy. Beds are comfortable with lovely linens. It is equipped with everything you need to eat in if you require. The area is lovely to walk around and there are places to eat, buy a coffee and even entertainment if needed.

Nice grounds, safe parking on property. Close to town centre. Friendly host Agnes - gave excellent recommendation for restaurant in town (The Auld Bakehouse). Room comfortable and spacious. Good choice of foods for breakfast.

Location was perfect for our planned activities. The hotel is really quirky and just has a nice feel about it. The food was excellent both at breakfast and in the evening. The staff are welcoming and friendly.

The car park is small, only space for about 6 cars but you can park on the road outside. The room we picked only had a bath with a shower spray rather than a proper shower so next time would probably pick a different room but this was an oversight on my part and is shown in the pictures so no fault of the hotel - the bathroom was beautiful with a roll top bath etc

The hostel is in the city center which is really nice. The beds were comfortable and the staff was really nice. The optional whisky tasting session was also a nice experience organized by the hostel.

Excellent location for the motor way, really friendly staff in a 24 hour reception. Room was comfy clean with tea and coffee facilities in the room.

There is no way of knowing staff from guests. The building and rooms are not secure. The rooms are grubby and full of clutter. The beds, mattresses, duvet, and pillow are all worn and grubby. There is a hell of a lot of drinking and drug use. The shower is grimey and has a normal linen curtain as a shower curtain. There are old toothbrushes piled up on the sink and empty product bottles everywhere. Guests from other rooms are able to walk into other dorms at any time of the night, and they do. There was a fist fight at 2am in the dorm. The shouting and screaming went on until at least half past 3. The guests involved are long-standing. I was very uncomfortable, as were other passing guests. To say the establishment should be advertised as a crack denn is an understatement. Don't get me wrong if you're into the whole night partying, then it's a great place to stay. However, if you're looking for a safe, comfortable, and clean night, look elsewhere.
